Joining the Bout of Books 13.0 Read-A-Thon!

So as you can probably tell by the title, I’m joining the Bout of Books Read-A-Thon!!

The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, May 11th and runs through Sunday, May 17th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. I knew about this Read-A-Thon in advance but didn’t have any plans  to join it. Then I read a blog post today by Amanda @Amanda’s Book Nook , a short post of how she was joining that lead me to checking out the Bout of Books blog where I read more about the Read-A-Thon. The more I read the more excited I became! I’ve only ever joined one Read-A-Thon before (Cram-A-Thon) and it was so fun! So I decided “Why the heck not”.

 

GOALS:

• Read 70-100 pages in a day
• Finish what I’m currently reading (Throne of Glass)
• Review as I finish a book
• Comment on a handful (5) of participating blogs a day
• Be active with Twitter updates (#boutofbooks)
• Participate in Twitter chats
• Read at least 2 novels

 

READ-A-THON TBR:

• Throne of Glass
• All the Bright Places
• Fahrenheit 451

Those are the books I plan on reading (this is not a strict TBR so I might change the books if I don’t feel like reading them). I would also like to read a couple of comics/graphic novels in between. Something fast and light to read. I haven’t decided what but here are my options:

• Smile
• Injustice: Gods Among Us (volume 1)
• Captain America: Living Legend

 

instead of making individual posts I’ll update this one through the Read-A-Thon. (I might do a different post if I decide to participate in the challenges)
