My Blog and a Little Advice:
It’s pretty obvious that I love books, but last year it took a whole different turn when I discovered Booktube (the book realm of youtube). I was mind blown! A whole section of youtube for books?? Up until then I thought youtube mostly consisted of beauty gurus, the famous youtubers and cat videos, none of which I’m a huge fan of. I’m not the type of person who mostly watches things on youtube. But Booktube? Oh man! I fell in love. The people there were so friendly and quirky and I heard of a whole lot of books, authors and people I otherwise wouldn’t have heard of. I then started looking into the Bookblogging realm and was awed at the posts that I read and the designs of various blogs I saw. And I saw that the community was equally welcoming. I wanted to be apart of that community! So after deciding what outlet I wanted to use I decided to take that step and create a book blog where I could rant about books and have people rant back. I started my blog early this year… *leaves page to check*. Yes, made my first official post on March 16th, (It was a book review on Airman.) and I’ve been loving it ever since!
Now I still consider myself new to the book blogging world so there are still things I’m learning but if I were to give you a couple of pointers, it would be:
» Find the platform that’s right for you. Just like when you’re shopping for shoes you have to try it out before you decide to invest in it. You should be comfortable when you blog.
» Get Social. Don’t be shy, people here are so friendly. Go read other blogger’s post, you might find something you love (whether its a sense of humor or a book). Go out there in the virtual world and explore!
Thanks so much for the nomination!! YES!!! BOOKTUBE IS LIFE!!! 🙂

Lately I’ve been watching Max over at Welldonebooks and he’s got me interesting in literary fiction and Irish Lit

I can relate! Watching Booktube is great for my reading but not so great for my bank balance 😉

LOL! you said it. before I go to a book store I make sure I leave with only a certain amount of money, because I can easily see myself go berserk and buy everything that seems remotely interesting.
